RE: Carri-Lite 5th wheels

We have had our Carri-lite for almost a year. Very well built coach. We also went through the Carriage factory and were impressed. Carriage makes their own frames! This is our 4th 5th wheel. So we have had other brands and like this one best! No problems with the slides. Lots of extras come standard with Carri-lite. They are heavy! :)

RE: Trailer Life Beta Test Site

This site will not let me sign in. So I have stopped using this portal. I had to sign in using another new name and now it won't let me sign out or sign in with my regular name. I finally just gave up on that portal.

RE: I am trapped with Qwest and can't get out!

We had DSL with Qwest. I could not get them to stop building me for the DSL then after I mailed them the router they kept charging me rent on the router. Took 3 months to get this resolved. Qwest doesn't have any customer service.

RE: comments on a new fiver. Montana 3465

We bought a new Montana in 2004. Loved it and had no major problems with it. We did trade it because was time to move on to different floor plan that Keystone didn't have. I would recommend Montana to anyone. Prices are great for what you get! :)

RE: Towing with a 1/2 ton truck?

I would go with a ton truck. Then when you trade up you will be prepared. We had to upgrade our truck with our last 5er purchase. That can get expensive! We traded in a perfectly good 3/4 ton diesel truck with only 40,000 miles which is low mileage for a diesel. Diesel may cost more but you will get better fuel mileage then with a gasser.

RE: Storage Compartment key - security alert

The keys have been this way for long long time. The RVers is not who you have to think about. RVers are usually very nice honest people.

RE: What I've done so far since we began full-timing in May

We start full timing Sept 29Th. Our house is under contract and hope nothing happens to stop the sale. We have traveled quite a bit anyway. Months at a time so can't see this being much different. Except we don't have to worry about the house. Not getting rid of everything but about half of the furniture. Only keeping a few things. So glad you are having a great time and good luck on selling your house! Good luck and maybe we will see you on the road. :)

RE: A NEW CHAPTER in my life

Hang in there. You will be fine. I have been on shots for over 45 years. I have type 1 diabetes. Now I have an insulin pump and has made my life easier and my diabetes better. The pump is not perfect but is the best they have right now for us diabetics. Sister shotgun is right to tell you to carry something sweet with you at all times. Lifesavers is a good choice.

RE: Carriage Cameo Slide Problem

We have a 2008 Carri-Lite 36SBQ and have not had problems with slides. Carriage make their own frames and they are very good with warrantee problems. Have not heard anything on Carriage forum about these problems or anyone we know in the Carriage network.

RE: Carriage Cameo A/C Problem

This sounds like a dealer problem. They probably ordered the wrong one for you. A dealer can make or break an experience. We have a Carri-lite and love it. Had no problems except had a decal replaced on the door. Wind blew it back into the basement door while basement was open and put a mar in the decal. Carriage replaced it with no problem. I have never heard of any of your problems from other Carriage owners. Have you looked in the Carriage forum? They may offer some advice for you. We have a 2008 Carri-lite and have a 15000 carrier AC in living room and a 13.5 in bedroom.

RE: May have a contract on our house UPDATE!

They came back with another offer and paid our price. I knew they really wanted the house. So their realtor is preparing the new contract today. We are almost "homeless". Can't wait to get out on the full time life. We have the 4 season 5er the truck to pull it an we are ready! :)

RE: Haven’t been having good luck with Craigslist

I have some towing mirrors listed free on Craig's List, and have had several people say they were coming by to get them and never showed up. Also have a flat bed trailer listed for sale and same thing. No shows. Do they think I have unlimited time to wait for them? How rude of them.

RE: May have a contract on our house UPDATE!

We turned down the offer. Don't know if they will walk or not. But they were very interested. Will know next week. We and our realtor feel they will come back with another offer. Houses are selling around here if they are not trashed houses and are priced right. Most of the foreclosure houses are trashed or need a lot of work. Our house shows very nice. These people are preapproved and I still think they will come back with another offer. If not then we will take the house off the market this winter and next spring the price goes back up a little. We are in a good position that we do not have to sell.

RE: Why do truck drivers do this???

Did anyone forget that most everything you buy from food to clothing is brought to your favorite store by truck? We have had very little trouble with truckers and most are very polite and good drivers. Better than the people that cut in front of us to make a right turn! Even when we are towing or pull out right in front of us when towing! Most truckers will help when they can. They will report slow downs ahead and accidents on CBs. No my DH is not a trucker and never was. :) I have a lot of respect for truckers and they have a difficult job! Hours driving through all the idiot drivers. Time away from their families.

RE: Now I've seen it all.

This is even too big for us! Can you see turning in an intersection?

RE: Driving pet peeves.

My pet peeve is people that cut people off to turn right. They do it weather we are towing or not. There is plenty of space behind us for them to turn from, why do they feel the need to try to cause an accident by cutting someone off!!! Also someone driving all over the road very slowly with a cell phone stuck to their ear. Had a close friend that was T-boned in an intersection by a lady on a cell phone that ran a red light. Put him in hospital with serious injuries.

RE: May have a contract on our house UPDATE!

The offer had a ridiculous price on it. Our price is right in line with other properties in the area. It is a steal at our price now. We have come down $100,000 in the last 2 years and it is at a price to sell now. If these people walk we will sit on it and have it paid off in 3 years so we don't have to sell. Have another buyer very interested and may write a contract next week. May have a bidding war going on here. We have acreage with our property. Big house 4 bedrooms and 3 full baths with 3 decks. Heated garage and so much more. These buyers are pre approved for financing.
